The Foundation
The Carlynton Education Foundation, is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization that was started in 2015 to fund educational programs, special projects, and activities that are innovative and enriching for the students of our school district. To date, the Carlynton Education Foundation has funded over $100,000 in grants and special projects. 

About Us

The Carlynton Education Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors comprised of faculty, administrators, and community stakeholders. They are responsible for selecting projects and dispensing funds. The board of directors operates independently of the school district.

​To enhance the educational opportunities of all Carlynton School District students beyond the regular school funding.

Our Goal

To provide support for educational programs, projects and activities that are innovative and enriching—and beyond the means of the standard school funding. 

​To support the district's efforts to fully fund programming to meet the needs the needs of our diverse student population.

The School District

Located just six miles southwest of Pittsburgh, Carlynton is a small district uniting three proud communities, Carnegie, Crafton and Rosslyn Farms, with various ethnic, racial and socioeconomic populations.  Our schools offer small class sizes that allow for a personal approach to instruction while presenting a challenging curriculum to encourage all students to excel as independent thinkers and life-long learners.
